The Lyon County Board of Zoning Appeals and Emporia Metropolitan Area Planning Commission will have back-to-back meetings Tuesday evening.
During the first meeting, Board of Zoning Appeals members will field a request for a lot-sized variant from Kevin Ogle and Aaron Sewell to allow for a duplex to be built at 721 Exchange. A second application from the Emporia Chamber of Commerce will seek a variance allowing for smaller lot sizes related to a roughly 16.8-acre project on the east side of Soden’s Road and South Exchange.
The second request is related to Ignite Emporia’s housing efforts and could potentially house multiple single-family dwellings.
Following the conclusion of this business, the Metro Area Planning Commission will give consideration to a request for the revocation of a conditional use permit. The permit is attached to the former Dynamic Discs distribution warehouse and was discussed during the board’s monthly meeting in March.
The meetings will begin at 6 pm inside the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium.
