One more frosty night is ahead for the KVOE listening area before winter leaves the scene.
Freeze warnings continue areawide until 10 am Wednesday with temperatures still expected to slide to the mid- and upper 20s.
Another batch of alerts is in place for Wednesday night into Thursday. Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties from midnight to 9 am Thursday. Chase and Greenwood counties are in a frost advisory from 1-9 am Thursday. Overnight lows could get down to 31 in Emporia and 32 further south and west.

*KVOE studios: 2 inches
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 3.3 inches
*Logan and Weaver: 3 inches
*Americus: 2 inches
*Burlington: 2.5 inches
*Climax: 0.50 inches
*Lake Kahola: 2 inches
Most, if not all, of the area snowfall had melted by early afternoon.
We go from snowfall and hard freezes to possible showers Thursday afternoon. Thunderstorms are also possible Friday. Temperatures, meanwhile, pop up to the 60s by Saturday and the mid-80s by Monday.
