The Tampa Bay Rays outscored the Kansas City Royals 14-7 Tuesday night.
The Rays scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning to take a 5-0 lead before the Royals scored 4 runs in the 3rd. Carlos Santana drove in 2 of the runs with a double.
Santana added a solo home run in the 5th inning.
The Royals could not keep up as the Rays scored single runs in the 4th and 5th innings and scored 4 more runs in the 6th.
Royals starter Brad Keller lasted 1.2 innings, giving up 5 runs on 3 hits while walking 3.
The Royals and Rays wrap up their 3 game series Wednesday night with Jakob Junis on the mound for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 7:10p.
