One of the two incumbents on the Americus City Council has filed for re-election.
Britney Hinrichs filed Tuesday. She and Lea Hamlin are the incumbents on the ballot. Hamlin has not filed for re-election.
Americus Mayor Dustin Wright has filed for re-election, doing so last week.
The filing deadline is noon June 1. If enough candidates file, there will be a primary election Aug. 3. Mayor, City Council and City Commission positions are on the ballot this year.
