Johnson & Johnson vaccines are back on the table as the COVID-19 response continues.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lifted a 10-day pause for investigation of rare and serious blood clotting among women under the age of 50, saying doses should be available to the general public in a few days.
The Food and Drug Administration has been revising fact sheets about the vaccine.
So far, 15 women have developed clotting issues after being vaccinated. Three have died.
At this time, it’s unclear when Lyon County will get Johnson & Johnson shots again. It has 1,500 Moderna doses for primary vaccines and will deliver those as part of a clinic Friday morning at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building.
