Strong and borderline severe thunderstorms are possible by Tuesday evening.
The Storm Prediction Center has most of the KVOE listening area, including Lyon County, in a marginal severe weather risk — the lowest level on its risk scale. A slight risk for severe weather is in place for southern Chase and most of Greenwood counties.
Hail and high winds are the main concerns if storms push through the area by mid-evening. More showers and storms are possible Wednesday, but no severe weather is currently expected.
