Lyon County’s recent decline in active COVID-19 cases continued to reverse course Wednesday.
For the second straight reporting period, the active case number increased bringing the current total to 20, up five from Monday. Public Health reported six new cases and one recovery bringing the overall total since last march to 4,230.
This follows last week’s trend of steady declines which saw the active total decrease from 28 to 13 between Apr. 16 and Monday of this week.
Deaths were again unchanged at 84 with one case pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
There are two active hospitalizations in Lyon County at this time.
