Recent trends of low increases in COVID-19 caseloads continue for area counties.
Chase County had three new cases in its community category, moving that overall total to 189. There is one active case. There have been three deaths.
Coffey County has not issued a new report since April 12. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment lists Coffey County with 724 total cases and 23 deaths since the pandemic started.
Greenwood County, meanwhile, hasn’t issued a new report since March. KDHE says the county has 556 total cases and 11 deaths over the course of the pandemic.
Morris County added five new cases and now has 623 total. There were five new cases and three active cases in this week’s report. Twenty-two people have died.
Osage County, which uses KDHE stats instead of announcing its own county stats, has 1,229 cases, up five from April 22. The death toll remains steady at 25.
Wabaunsee County has not issued new stats since April 19. KDHE lists the county with 678 total cases and 13 deaths.
