After the first day of the MIAA Outdoor Track and Field meet Emporia State had 6 top 8 finishes including 1 championship and 6 qualifiers for Sundays Finals.
Freshman Jenna Ramsay had the fastest time in the 10,000 meter run for the lone championship on the first day for Emporia State.
Clara Eilert finished in 2nd place in the high jump.
Jazmin Williams finished in 3rd place in the long jump.
Alyssa Conway finished in 4th place in the hammer throw.
Madison Runnion finished in 6th place in the high jump and Kaleb Barber finished in 7th place in the mens long jump.
In the heptathlon Clara Eilert is in 5th place after the first day.
Tanner Raubenstine qualified for the finals in the 100 meter dash and 110 hurdles.
Juwan Johnson qualified for the finals in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Brandon Rhone qualified for the finals in the 400 meter dash and Davion Scott qualified for the finals in the 400 meter hurdles.
The Emporia State women are in 3rd place and the men are in 9th place going into day 2 of the MIAA outdoor track and field championships being hosted by Pittsburg State.
