Updates on coronavirus and ongoing construction will highlight the upcoming USD 253 Board of Education meeting Wednesday evening.
Board members will receive the latest update on the Building for the Future bond initiative from McCownGordon Construction. As part of phase one of the multi-million dollar renovation project work continues at Walnut Elementary School, Emporia High School and the new Jones Early Child Education Center.
USD 253 Superintendent Dr. Allison Anderson-Harder will present the latest COVID-19 update to the board. During the consent agenda portion of the meeting board members could approve the retirement of long-time Director of Transportation Becky Douglas.
The meeting will begin at 7 pm inside the Mary Herbert Education Center and will be available on the district’s website USD253.org.
