Allen City Council has its first candidate for the upcoming election cycle.
Harold Buckbee filed Monday. Jessie Niedfeldt, Lawrence Rust and Debra Moser are the incumbents.
Mayor, City Council, City Commission and school board positions are on the ballot this year. If enough people file, a primary election will be held Aug. 3. The filing deadline is noon June 1.
