Wabaunsee County Sheriff Rob Hoskins says a sexual exploitation case that started with a report at a county high school led authorities to a suspect in Canada.
Hoskins says Deputy Angie King, the school resource officer at USD 330 Mission Valley, took a report last month from a youth who reported being coerced into sending explicit images via social media. The investigative process led authorities to Canada, where a suspect was arrested Tuesday. Hoskins says there is evidence the suspect “had engaged in several acts of soliciting and promoting child pornography.”
The suspect’s name has not been released. There is currently no word on formal charges at this time.
