Topeka High School has announced the hiring of Ty Baumgardner as their next Head Boys Basketball Coach.
Ty became the Athletic Director at Topeka High beginning this school year. Ty is a graduate of both Emporia High School and Emporia State. He was a head basketball coach for 19 seasons in North Carolina, Georgia, and South Carolina before returning to Kansas last year. He has a record of 370-154 as a head coach. Baumgardner takes over for Eric King, who resigned after two seasons.
