The Kansas City Royals split a doubleheader with the Chicago White Sox Friday.
The Royals won the first game 6-2 to end an 11 game losing skid.
Michael A Taylor hit a 2 run home run and Salvador Perez hit a 3 run home run to power the Royals offense.
Brad Keller was the winning pitcher going 5 innings giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with 7 strikeouts.
Chicago won the 2nd game 3-1. Carlos Santana hit a home run for the Royals lone run.
The Royals and White Sox play again this evening. Mike Minor will make the start for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 6:10. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals have placed Hunter Dozier on the seven-day concussion injured list after he had a collision with White Sox first baseman José Abreu in the first game. Dozier left with quad contusion and neck discomfort. Abreu left with a facial contusion and laceration, as well as a bruised left knee. The Royals recalled Kelvin Gutierrez from Triple-A Omaha.
