Funeral arrangements are now tentatively set for all three teenagers killed in the May 9 car crash into the Cottonwood River just south of Emporia.
Shelby Phoenix, 17, will have a funeral service at noon Wednesday at the Emporia Granada Theatre with interment following at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at Charter Funerals.
Phoenix will have a candlelight vigil in her honor at 8 pm Sunday at Eastside Community Park.
Meanwhile, cremation is planned for both 17-year-old Chase Luby and her brother, 13-year-old Paxton Luby. Private services for the siblings will be held at a later date.
All three were killed when the car they were riding in veered off Road 147 and went between 15 to 20 feet upside down into the river. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
