Emporia High will be sending 2 golfers to the 5A State tournament.
Brooks Sauder and Caden Massey qualified for state at the Andover regional today.
Sauder finished in 5th place with a 74 and Massey finished in 15th place with a 78. Both qualified as one of the top 5 scores not on a qualifying team.
Also for Emporia High Alex Allemang finished in 25th place with a 88 and Aiden Allenmang finished in 33rd place with a 98. As a team, the Spartans finished in 4th place. Kapaun Mt. Carmel took team honors, Bishop Carroll was 2nd and Goddard Eisenhower was 3rd.
The 5A State golf tournament will be played at Newton Monday and Tuesday.
At the 3A regional at Osawatomie Burlington finished in 4th place and Osage City 5th place.
Burlington has 2 state qualifiers, Carson Hess and Nicholas Davies.
Osage City has 2 state qualifiers, Gunnar Fort and Owen Bailey.
