The Kansas City Royals shut out the Milwaukee Brewers 2-0 Tuesday night.
The Royals scored both runs in the 8th inning. Whit Merrifield scored on an Andrew Benintendi single and Carlos Santana scored on an error.
Kris Bubic tossed 6 scoreless innings giving up 1 hit and struck out 6 in his first start for the Royals this season.
Jake Brentz earned the win getting the final out of the 8th inning. Josh Staumont earned his 4th save.
The Royals and Brewers play again Wednesday night. Brad Keller makes the start for the Royals with the first pitch set for 7:10p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
The Royals also announced Tuesday that games will return to full capacity at Kauffman Stadium starting on May 31, when they host the Pirates.
