Burlingame has earned a spot at the 2-1A State softball tournament. The Bearcats outscored Chase County 4-2 in the Leon-Bluestem regional championship game Wednesday.
Marion outscored Chase County 17-5 in the Marion baseball regional semi-finals. Sedgewick defeated Marion 12-0 in the championship game.
At the Humboldt 2-1A baseball regional Southern Lyon County and Lebo/Waverly were scoreless thru 2 innings before rains washed out the rest of the game. They will resume Friday. The winner will play Colony Crest in the regional championship game.
Thursday in baseball and softball regional play.
Osage City will play Southeast of Saline in the 3A baseball regional semi-finals hosted by Council Grove. The Council Grove regional games have been moved to Sodens Grove in Emporia.
Lyndon plays Jayhawk Linn in the Mound City 2-1A softball regional semi-finals with games to be played at Paola.
