The Emporia High baseball team was shut out by Bishop Carroll 11-0 in a regional semi-final game Wednesday.
Carroll scored 5 runs in the first inning and Emporia High never did threaten. They were shut out on 2 hits. The Spartans finish their season with a 6-13 record.
Bishop Carroll advanced to the 5A State tournament with a 15-3 win over Salina Central.
