Emporia High will be sending 16 athletes to the 5A State track and field meet to compete in 15 events.
Emporia High had 2 regional champions, Kyle Obermeyer won the 110 hurdles and Treyson True won the 3200-meter run.
Obermeyer also qualified for the 300 hurdles with a 2nd place finish. Treyson True also qualified for the 1600 meter run with a 2nd place finish.
Elizabeth Willhite qualified for both the 1600 and 3200 meter runs with 3rd place finishes.
Other qualifiers are:
Trinity Ervin in the discus, Kaitlyn Ayer in the long jump.
Josiah Huber in the pole vault, Fred Jackson in the 400-meter dash, Zachary Jackson in the 200-meter dash, Daniel Knapp in the triple jump.
The boys 4 by 800 relay team of Lane Wullschleger, Blake Spellman, Michael, Shi, and Caden Wilson.
The boys 4 by 400 relay team of Fred Jackson, Aiden Jackson, Blake Spellman, and Cooper Rech.
The boys 4 by 100 relay team of Derrick Keys, Daniel Knapp, Aiden Jackson, and Zachary Jackson.
As a team, the Emporia High boys finished in 3rd place and the girls finished in 7th place.
At the 1-A regional at Burlington Olpe qualified for 14 events with 4 regional Champions – Max Blaufuss in the Javelin, Macy Smith in the 1600 meter run, Marley Heins in the 400 and the Boys 4 by 800 relay.
Macy Smith also qualified for the 3200-meter run and 300 hurdles.
Marley Heins also qualified for the 800-meter run. Nolan Redeker qualified for the 1600, 3200 and 800 meter runs.
Milly Bailey in the 400-meter dash, Derek Hoeltin in the 800-meter run.
The girls and boys 4×800, 4×400 relays, and the girls 4×100 relay.
The Olpe girls and boys finished in 3rd place.
Madison qualified for 8 events and had 6 regional champions, Casey Helm won both the shot put and discus. Bryson Turner won both the 100 and 200-meter dashes and the boys 4 by 100 relay finished in 1st.
Elizabeth Buchman placed 1st in the discus.
Bryson Turner also qualified for the long jump.
Hunter Engle qualified for the shot put, discus, and 300 hurdles.

The Madison boys finished in 1st place.
Burlingame qualified for 9 events with the girls 4 by 400 relay winning a regional championship.
Katie Shaffer qualified for the 100-meter dash, Isabella Tyson qualified for the 400-meter dash, Daelyn Winters qualified for the high jump, Austin Tyson qualified for the 400-meter dash and Matthew Heckman qualified for the high jump.
Lebo qualified for 6 events.
Kyle Reese qualified for the long jump and pole vault.
Devon McEwan qualified for the javelin, Carson Hein qualified for the pole vault, Brooklyn Jones qualified for the javelin, Abby Peek and Audrey Peek in the pole vault and the boys 4×800 relay.
Waverly and Southern Coffey County each had 1 state qualifier, each qualifier qualified for 2 events.
Waverlys Lane Bartley was the regional champion in the 110 hurdles and also qualified for the 300 hurdles.
and Southern Coffey Countys Aiden Voorhees qualified for the high jump and triple jump.
At the 2A regional at Pleasanton.
The Northern Heights girls finished 2nd and qualified for 9 events, they had two regional champions, Makenna French in the Javelin and Kaley Boyce in the High Jump.
French also qualified for the shot put.
The Northern Heights boys qualified for 4 events. Kaden Massey had the best throw in the discus.
Jerrod Campbell qualified for both the high jump and javelin.

Teagan Hines – 3200, Makenna Delgado 100 meter dash, Aubrey Hinrichs 800, Dylan Kosinski Discus, Girls 4×100 relay, Trey Rathke 110 hurdles.
Chase County boys finished 2nd and qualified for 9 events. Brock Lauer had the fastest time in the 3200 meter run. The boys 4 x 100 relay finished 1st.
Lauer also qualified for the 1600 meter run.
Brock Griffin qualified for the 400-meter dash, Cooper Schroer qualified for the 800-meter run, Cory Owen qualified for the Javelin, Trint Rogers in the long jump. The boys 4×800 and 4×400 relays also qualified.
The Chase County girls qualified for 5 events.
Clarrisa Fleshman in the discus, Brylee Potter in the long jump, Britany Schorer in the javelin, Laura Koch in the pole vault, and the girls 4×800 relay.
The Lyndon boys qualified 4 events for state. Ethan Edington finished 1st in the long jump.
Edington also qualified for the 100 and 200-meter dashes.
Brayden Marcotte qualified for the 3200-meter run.
The Lyndon girls qualified 4 events for state.
Jolie Hielscher qualified for both the 100 and 200-meter dashes.
Cleo Feltenr qualified for the javelin and Abigal Criqui qualified for the triple jump.
3 more regional meets that feature area schools will be held Friday.
Osage City and Council Grove will be competing at the Osage City 3A Regional.
Burlington will be competing at the Fredonia 3A regional.
Mission Valley will be competing at the Blue Rapids 2A regional.
