Coronavirus activity remains low in our neighboring counties.
Chase County announced two new community cases, moving the county’s overall total in that category to 205. There are also two active cases, down one from a week ago, and three deaths, level with last week. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment says Chase County has 274 cases, including past outbreaks at Chase County Care and Rehab and the Chase County Jail.
The Chase County report also includes three confirmed cases of the B.1.1.7 UK variant.
According to KDHE, Coffey County has 739 cases, up three from last week, and three deaths, even with last week.
KDHE says Greenwood County has 560 cases, up one from last week. There have been 11 deaths, even with last week.
Morris County has self-reported no new or active cases. The totals are 629 confirmed cases, including one case of the P.1 Japan-Brazil variant, and 22 deaths.
KDHE says Osage County has 1,257 cases, up seven from last year. The death toll is up one and stands at 26.
KDHE says Wabaunsee County has 685 cases, up three from last week. There have been 13 deaths, the same as last week.
