A Lyon County woman suffered suspected minor injuries after a crash Thursday morning near Emporia.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Lori Buek of Reading was southbound on Interstate 35 near mile marker 134, or close to Emporia’s east city limits, when she lost control of her pickup truck and rolled into the center median. An ambulance took Buek to Newman Regional Health for observation and possible treatment.
Buek was the only person in the truck and was wearing her seatbelt when the crash happened shortly before 7:30 am. There was rain in the area, but the Highway Patrol hasn’t confirmed whether wet conditions contributed to the crash.
