The 3A and 4A State track and field meets were held Friday in Wichita. Athletes from Osage City, Council Grove, and Burlington earned 17 medals.
From Osage City
Landon Boss finished 2nd in the javelin and 3rd in the discus.
Dane Whalen finished 2nd in the shot put.
Reed Crawford finished in 8th place in the 800.
Taylin Kirkpatrick 5th in the discus.
From Council Grove
Lakoddah Downs finished 4th in the 3200 meter run and 7th in the 1600 meter run.
Jordyn Picolet finished 8th in both the 3200 and 1600 meter runs.
Hadyn Bieling finished tied for 5th in the high jump and 7th in the triple jump.
From Burlington
Ty Anderson finished 4th in both the triple jump and 100-meter dash and 6th in the long jump.
Thomas Unruh placed 3rd in the pole vault.
Karlie Whitworth finished in 7th place in the 100-meter hurdles and 7th in the 300-meter hurdles.
Classes 2 and 1A compete Saturday.
Olpes Max Blaufuss has the top throw in the javelin in all classes this spring.
Lebos Devan McEwen has the 2nd best throw in 1A.
Madisons Casey Helm has the top throws in both the shot put and discus in 1A.
Hamiltons Kelton Buettner has the top time in 1A for the 300 hurdles and 2nd best time in 1A for the 110 hurdles.
Madisons Bryson Turner has the best time in 1A for the 100-meter dash.
