Emporia schools will be busy earlier than normal Friday with this being the official last day of classes.
*Emporia Middle School sixth-grade students will dismiss at 11:20 am. Seventh- and eighth-graders will dismiss at 11:23 am.
*Emporia High will dismiss at 11:25 am.
*All elementary students will dismiss at noon.
Maynard students were the exception as they ended their school year Thursday.
Starting Wednesday, the district’s summer grab-and-go meal program wil begin with free breakfasts and lunches available for all students ages 1-18. Meals will be available weekdays at Riverside, Village and William Allen White from 11:30 am to 1 pm.
Parents and guardians must bring all kids with them on the first day they participate because they will get a district meal card, which will have the number of meals to pick up. Children will not be needed on subsequent trips.
