Emporia American Legion baseball tryouts will be held today. The Tryouts begin at 4 pm at Sodens Grove. The Senior legion is open to those 19 and younger. The Junior Legion is open to those 17 and younger.
Emporia High School boys basketball Team Camp for all incoming 9th-12th grade basketball players will be held beginning today and running thru Friday.
High School camp begins at 12:00p and goes until 2 pm.
A Middle School camp will begin at 2 pm and goes until 4 pm.
The Emporia High girls soccer camp also begins today. The camp begins at 4 pm and goes until 6 pm. It is for those who will be in 9th thru 12th grade this next school year.
The camp will be held Mondays thru Wednesdays during the month of June. It will be held in the Jones Activity Center at Emporia High School. It is a free camp.
Emporia High football will be holding camps beginning Thursday. The camps will be held June Thursday and Friday beginning at 7 am.
Next Monday and Tuesday it will be held beginning at 5 pm.
This for anyone that wants to play football at Emporia High School and is going to be in high school next year.
Additionally, they will need a physical to participate.
The cost is $40 and that goes for their shirt and shorts.
