The Greater Emporia Area Disaster Relief Fund is teaming up with local healthcare providers to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates locally.
It was announced Wednesday, that the GEADRF will be partnering with Newman Regional Health and Lyon County Public Health for the #VaxToNormal campaign. The campaign will work to increase rates in Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris, Osage, Wabaunsee, and Woodson counties through promotional efforts, increasing access to vaccinations and offering incentives to get vaccinated.
This will include pop-up clinics through Public Health and Newman as well as weekly prize drawings every Friday beginning Jun. 10 through Sept. 10. Residents are invited to visit http://www.geadisasterrelieffund.org/ to register for those drawings.
A grand prize drawing is set to take place on Sept. 10. Additional information will be released on the GEADRF’s Facebook page. Representatives of the GEADRF will join KVOE’s Newsmaker segment at 7:15 am Monday morning.
The GEADRF is a local collaboration of the Emporia Community Foundation, Emporia Main Street, KVOE, and the United Way of the Flint Hills.
