With the recent cool temperatures and ongoing rain chances, the Jones Aquatic Center has had to delay its summer opening from its intended date of Monday.
Opening day is now officially underway.
Aquatic Center Director Jennifer Wegener said that with the delays, there has been more opportunity for new staff members to be trained and prepared for opening day. Although the revised opening date has caused required additional flexibility from the staff, it has also increased the excitement for this summer’s opening.
Normal operating hours for the Aquatic Center are 1-6 pm throughout the week.
