Three Emporia golfers played in the Kansas Optimist national qualifying tournament played at the Emporia Golf Course Friday.
Brooks Sauder finished in 9th place finishing with 74, 3 over par.
Caden Massey finished in 17th place with a plus 7 78. Nolan Jacob finished with a 93.
Will Hedges of Lawrence and Zachary Vandervoort of Pratt both shot 69s to finish 2 under par. Hedges finished in 1st place and Vandervoort in 2nd place. Ty Adkins finished in 3rd place with a 1 under par 70.
Kate Tilma of Wichita shot a 1 under par 70 to win the girls 15-18 age group.
The top 3 finishers in each boys division and top 2 finishers in each girls division qualified for the Optimist National tournament.
