Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland has a new chief executive officer.
Rolinda Sample comes to the Girl Scouts after serving as Chief Professional Officer for Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Sample’s tenure there included a successful $6 million capital campaign to build a 12-acre outdoor recreation facility. She was also involved in the community, serving as vice president for the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce.
Sample will replace Liz Workman, who retired earlier this year after leading the Girl Scouts for eight years.
Locally, the Girl Scouts have had a busy nine months. The Girl Scouts sold the 7,000 square-foot Amend Girl Scout Center to the Emporia Rescue Mission as part of an effort to consolidate all local operations at Camp Double-E, 794 Road 200.
