Salvador Perez hit 2 home runs to help power the Kansas City Royals to a 6-5 win over the Minnesota Twins Thursday night.
The Twins scored a run in the top of the 1st, but every time the Twins scored the Royals answered. Salvador Perez tied the game in the bottom of the first with his 1st home run of the night. Hunter Dozier added a home run in the 4th inning. Perez hit his 2nd home run of the night and 14th of the season in the 5th inning.
Jarrod Dyson scored the winning run on an error in the 7th inning.
The Royals and Twins play again tonight. Brad Keller will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. The first pitch is set for 7:10p.
The Royals named Andrew Benintendi the player for the month of May and Scott Barlow has been named the pitcher for the month of May.
