Purchases and updates are on the agenda for the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education this week.
Board members will have several items of note when they review human resources and fiscal resources items Wednesday evening. A funding and budget projections update will be discussed, with a separate discussion on salary movement for all staff this upcoming academic year. In addition, the board will discuss the purchase of Chromebooks for Emporia High School as well as a new laser engraving machine for the high school’s Technology Education Department.
Also, the board will get an update on the ongoing Building for the Future renovation work currently underway at Emporia High and Walnut Elementary as well as new construction at the Jones Early Childhood Center.
The meeting starts at 7 pm at Mary Herbert.
