There is a new rule change coming to womens college basketball this coming season that could have an impact on the game.
The 3 point line is being moved to the International distance of 22 feet 1 and 3/4 inches. The previous distance was 20 feet 9 inches.
Emporia State Womens Basketball Hornet Coach Toby Wynn is in favor of the move.
Junior Tre’Zure Jobe, who made 52 3’s last season says it’s not that big of an adjustment.
Last season Emporia State led the MIAA with 256 made 3’s, which was 74 more than the 2nd place team. That is an average of just over 9 per game, 3 more than the national average.
