Osage County authorities have arrested a Topeka man on suspicion of human trafficking.
Sheriff Chris Wells says there has been an investigation into online solicitation of a child by an adult. That led to the arrest Tuesday of 39-year-old Mark Davenport, who allegedly made plans to meet with somebody he thought was a minor.
Davenport was arrested on suspicion of aggravated human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation of a child, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A first court appearance date has not been announced.
Osage County deputies have made several arrests on suspicion of human trafficking since Jan. 1. Authorities say the arrests were all part of separate investigations.
