The Salvation Army will be distributing fans Thursday in preparation for the rising temperatures expected in the coming days.
Fans will be distributed curbside at their Annex Building at 209 West 4th Avenue from 1-3 pm.
Kristen Lawrence, Emergency Services Coordinator with the Salvation Army’s Pathway of Hope program, spoke with KVOE about the process people should expect when picking up their cooling fans.
Evergy donated the fans. Those planning to receive a fan are also asked not to block intersections or alleyways while in line. This will make the distribution process smoother and more efficient.
