There was a first-time winner and a repeat winner for the Emporia Mens and Womens City Golf Championships.
Colton Massey won the Emporia Mens City Golf Championship for the first time. He erased a 2 stroke deficit Sunday when he shot a 5 under par 66 at the Emporia Golf Course and finished the 2 days at 4 under par.
Chase Coble, who shared the first-round lead, finished in 2nd place with a plus 1.
Brooks Sauder, a co-first-round leader, finished in 3rd place at plus 6.
Caden Massey finished in 4th place at plus 10.
Colton said playing in the same 4 some with his brother Caden was a good experience.
Jamie Sauder won the A Flight at plus 11.
Taylor Clark won the B Flight at plus 23.
Justin Rahe won the C Flight at plus 38.
Fuji Ortiz was the low senior at plus 14.
and Brooks Sauder was the low junior.
For the 2nd year in a row, Avary Eckert won the Emporia Womens City Golf Champion.
Eckert, who will be a Junior at Emporia High, made an 8 stroke first-round lead hold-up.
She said it also helped that she was playing with her twin sister Olivia in the same foursome Sunday.
Kelly McEnernery finished inĀ 2nd place andĀ Olivia Eckert finished in third place.
