Trial begins Monday for one of three suspects in a combination shooting and robbery case from last fall.
Lance Sutton has jury selection Monday. Opening arguments will start shortly after the jury is seated.
Sutton, 24, has pleaded not guilty to formal charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary dating back to an alleged shooting incident at Linn and Whildin and an alleged robbery at 9 South Rural in late October. The shooting victim survived that incident.
Sutton’s co-defendant, 21-year-old Kenneth Hopkins, pleaded no contest to conspiracy to commit robbery in late May. He will be sentenced July 7. Another suspect, 24-year-old Marcos Diaz, remains at large.
