Ticket sales are officially underway for Denim and Diamonds 2021.
This is the largest annual fundraiser for Newman Regional Health, with proceeds always connecting to health care initiatives of some sort. Director of Business Development McKenzie Cinelli says this year’s silent auction, live auction, dinner and entertainment will largely be back to the pre-pandemic flow.
This year’s proceeds will develop a simulated apartment suite in the Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation unit, letting patients practice independent living skills before getting discharged. This will also give staff a better opportunity to both build confidence in the patient while determining potential challenges the patient may face. Construction may start by the end of the year.
Cinelli says the early slate of associated fundraisers have already done well. Two more are coming this week, including Casa Ramos donating a portion of its lunch and dinner receipts Wednesday and Mr. G’s donating 25 percent of receipts Saturday.
The event is Aug. 6. Tickets are $60 a person or $120 pre couple. Tables seating eight people are available at $450. Tickets are available online at www.2021dd.givesmart.com. More information is available at www.newmanrh.org/dd.
