The Emporia Junior American Legion baseball team split a doubleheader with the Topeka Senators Tuesday night.
The Senators won the first game 12-6, scoring 9 of those runs in the 2nd inning. Post 5 would try to rally scoring 5 runs in the top of the 3rd inning but it was not enough.
The Emporia Junior Legion won the 2nd game 6-1. They scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning to break a 1-1 tie. Cam Geitz was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored.
The Junior Legion is now 2-6 for the season.
Wednesday night the Senior Legion plays at Newton.
