In NBA playoff action from Thursday:
*The Milwaukee Bucks forced a decisive Game 7 in their series with Brooklyn by winning 104-89. Khris Middleton scored 38 and Giannis Antetokounpo added 30 to force the seventh game, which will be Saturday night in Brooklyn.
There are two games Friday night. Atlanta has a chance to close out Philadelphia on the road. The Hawks lead that series 3-2. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers can advance to the next round with a win at home against Utah. The Clippers lead that series 3-2.
Off the court, Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle has resigned after 13 seasons leading the team. Carlisle joined Dallas in 2008 after stints in Detroit and Indiana and led the Mavericks to the NBA title a decade ago — but Dallas hasn’t been out of the NBA playoffs’ first round since then. He has an 8360-690 career record as head coach.
