The Kansas City Royals try to end a six-game losing skid when they begin a three-game series at home against Boston on Friday.
The Royals are coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of the Detroit Tigers and are now seven games below .500. They are now 12 games behind the Chicago White Sox in the American League Central. Manager Mike Matheny is confident things will flip around.
The Red Sox, meanwhile, have won three straight and are a half-game behind Tampa Bay in the American League East.
The Royals have not yet said who will start Friday night. Pregame is 6:30 pm with game time at 7:10 pm on 14 KVOE and 96.9 FM.
