The second set of winners in the #VaxToNormal COVID-19 vaccination and incentive campaign were announced Friday.
This week’s winners were Fred Strawder who received a $50 Sweet Granada gift card, Erica Markley who took home $50 in Emporia Main Street gift certificates, Dan Colson who received a $50 Gravel City Roasters gift certificate, Brianna Graybeal took home two tickets to the Bon Jovi tribute concert donated by the Granada Theatre and Brian Hollenbeck who received an Emporia Main Street Community Pride Pack.
#VaxToNormal is a campaign being put on in cooperation between the Greater Emporia Area Disaster Relief Fund and a range of health, education, business and nonprofit partners to increase vaccination rates in Lyon, Chase, Coffey, Greenwood, Morris, Osage, Wabaunsee and Woodson counties. Residents are eligible for weekly drawings if they are fully vaccinated, whether before the campaign started or as part of the campaign the coming months.
Weekly drawings will take place through Sept. 10, when a grand prize drawing will be held. The first announced vaccination clinic will be a pop-up event at Emporia’s Riverside Elementary School on July 10.
