USD 252 Southern Lyon County has set its goals for the coming academic year.
During its most recent meeting Thursday evening, the Board of Education approved the district’s strategic plan and district goals for the 2021-22 school year. Superintendent Mike Argabright says the district will have four main focuses aimed at improving student success.
Argabright says the district has already laid a strong foundation to accomplish these goals as evidenced by their student’s accomplishments both academically and athletically over the past year. He says the board will receive a monthly update on the progress of the district goals at each board meeting in the coming year.
While the district goals are set in stone and will see no change until the next year, the district’s strategic plan will continue to evolve and be adjusted as needed.
Additionally Thursday, the board began initial conversations on the 2022 budget. Argabright says the early conversations are for prioritizing purposes with more in-depth discussions set to take place during the board’s next monthly meeting in July.
