Lyon County Public Health continues efforts to make it easier for people wanting coronavirus vaccines to get those shots.
Several weeks ago, Public Health moved from large-scale vaccination clinics to an on-demand approach as public interest shifted. Now it’s offering the homebound a chance for shots to come to them, as Emergency Preparedness Director Jennifer Millbern explained on KVOE’s Morning Show recently:
Homebound residents can call the Public Health COVID-19 Hotline at 620-208-3741 for information or to set appointments.
This comes as Public Health is offering the Moderna vaccine for the general public on Mondays and Wednesdays. The Pfizer vaccine is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while the Johnson & Johnson shot is now available on a daily basis. Appointments can be made online at www.publichealth.lyoncounty.org. Walk-ins are welcome.
