Lyon County Public Health’s first report of the week showed a decrease in overall and active COVID-19 cases and deaths.
According to the report, the county’s overall case total decreased by two cases between Friday and Monday from 4,290 to 4,288. Public Health Database Administrator Kate Monroe-Segobia tells KVOE News that the Kansas Department of Health and Environment corrected two cases that were originally reported in Lyon and moved them to a different county.
One of those cases was a death which dropped the death count from 87 to 86. One new recovery was also reported Monday dropping the active total to 14.
Active hospitalizations were unchanged at two.
