If all goes well, part of West 12th damaged by a recent water main break will be open to traffic by day’s end Tuesday.
Crews are in the process of paving the westbound lane between C of E Drive and Lincoln Street before doing likewise to the eastbound lane. Part of the curb and gutter that was damaged will be repaired later.
The street had a significant water main blowout June 23 after a 16-inch line split. The line break was a few hundred feet west of another major line break on West 12th near the Newman Regional Health original building back in March.
