The Kansas Highway Patrol says an Olathe man suffered potentially serious injuries when the pickup he was driving rear-ended a Kansas Department of Transportation dump truck’s trailer in far west Lyon County.
Troopers say 38-year-old Brant Domnanish was driving a Braun Intertec pickup on US Highway 50 when the crash happened shortly after noon about 1,000 feet east of the Lyon-Chase county line. The pickup driven by Domnanish apparently hit the trailer, which was connected to a stationary KDOT dump truck that was partially on the highway with its emergency lights on.
Domnanish was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Nobody was in the dump truck when the crash happened.
