The Emporia Fire Department is wrapping up special training Friday.
Firefighters will be at Flinthills Mall through the day. The focus has been practicing fire attack methods, so fire crews will be using fog machines for that purpose. This is part of the department’s “Large Space Entry” training, which also includes methods of searching and scanning large areas inside buildings.
This phase of training has been underway since Wednesday.
