An investigation is underway after an injury crash west of Emporia shortly before lunchtime Friday.
Lyon County deputies and Emporia/Lyon County EMS responded to the intersection of US Highway 50 and Road F shortly after 11 am after two vehicles apparently collided. One person was taken to Newman Regional Health with apparently non-life-threatening injuries afterward.

The crash is on the west edge of the ongoing construction zone to expand US Highway 50 between Roads E-5 and F from two lanes to four.
