The Emporia Senior American Legion baseball team was 0-2 on the final day of the Bob Hooper Showcase tournament in McPherson Saturday.
In the days first game Post 5 was outscored by Buhler 7-2. Buhler jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and never trailed.
Emporia scored both of their runs in the 3rd inning, Jaxon Dial and Cam Geitz scored the runs. Geitz and Vance Kinsey had the RBIs.
In their second game, the Post 5 Seniors were defeated by the Kansas Senators 12-3. The Senators scored 4 runs in the first and put the game out of reach with 7 runs in the 3rd inning.
Post 5 scored all 3 runs in the 3rd, Aaron Ross, Vance Kinsey, and Drew Hess scored the runs.
The Seniors are off until they play in a tournament in Salina beginning July 8th.
The Jr Legion has a doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday against the Kansas Senators.
