Car junkies got their fix at the RODN 4 JC vehicle show Sunday hosted by St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Vehicles of all makes and models were lined up to be admired and judged. This year, the show benefitted Random Acts of Kindness projects in the Lyon County area.
Dwayne Young of Emporia entered his 1965 Mustang into the show and said that Sunday was a great opportunity to collaborate and find inspiration for future projects.
The cars were not the only attraction at RODN 4 JC. Cornhole tournaments, 50/50 drawings, Hot Wheel races, and a BBQ all added to the event’s fun and welcoming atmosphere.
When asked about the show’s connection to Random Acts of Kindness, participant Mick Franklin of Salina says “car people” never shy away from opportunities to give back.
Final totals from the car show are currently pending.
